I successfully avoided my husband’s birthday cheesecake at the family celebration on Monday, but tonight I gleefully partook of the dessert sampler at the fancy restaurant we went to for his birthday dinner. I still consider this a success because I’m doing well at ignoring all of the little sugar cravings that pop up during the day. The last time I gave up sugar we purged the house of it so I wouldn’t be tempted. This time it’s all still here and I could show you exactly where each morsel of it is, yet I have still managed to choose not to eat it. A little planned indulgence is ok once in a while, I think.
